It is the Mission of the Alpharetta Department of Public Safety to Enhance the Quality of Life of those that Live, Work, and Play in the City of Alpharetta.
The Alpharetta Department of Public Safety is here to provide the highest quality emergency services for those who live, work and play in the city of Alpharetta. In fact, Alpharetta has achieved the highly coveted ISO-1 rating which is the highest rating possible the Insurance Services Office has created. We do things a little different than your average emergency services department. Unlike most jurisdictions, our services are not separated into different departments. Police, Fire and 911 all fall under one. This allows each service to work closer, train more efficiently , and communicate together to provide the optimal service to those in Alpharetta.
Our 911 division is staffed by highly trained Communication Officers. These are more than regular dispatchers. Our communication officers spend extensive training in police, fire, and medical communications.
The Police division is comprised of our Uniform Patrol Division, Criminal Investigations, Fraud Prevention, Records Support, and supplements North Fulton SWAT.
Fire & Emergency Services is capable of responding to a wide variety of emergencies including fire suppression, medical emergencies, hazardous material events, or fire inspections and investigations.
